The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services will provide payment for burial and cremation services on behalf of eligible individuals. Eligibility criteria includes: individuals who received SSI; cash benefits from DHS; found eligible for cash assistance; residents of nursing homes who previously received SSI or nursing home care payments. Eligibility is determined by the local county assistance office.
